Healthy Strawberries from Healthy SoilI believe that the soil the Murata family has cultivated overmany generations and handed down to me makes our strawberriesdelicious. We eliminate bad bacteria by using organicfertilizer, such as rice bran, and repeated reductive disinfectionof soil because chemical disinfectants kill both bad and goodbacteria and thereby reset the soil that took a long time tocultivate. The careful cultivation of strawberries in quality soilproduced the special flavor and earned for us the reputationof“Strawberries of the Muratas.”While we used to ship ourstrawberries mainly to markets, we started shipping them to coopsupermarkets, which afforded us opportunities to meet customers,patissiers, and fruit and vegetable shop owners faceto-face.This was a turning point. While consistently producingsafe and secure strawberries, we want to seek further customersatisfaction.
