In addition to settingordinances and budgets, they also have the authority to evaluatepetitions and appeals submitted by citizens, monitor executiveagencies, and perform organizational management of the council.City council meetings are, in general, open to the public.Plenary sessions can be observed directly from the assemblyfloor. Furthermore, plenary sessions are broadcast live in themain building of city hall, and the contents of each meeting arepublished in the City Council Newsletter.The Shimotsuma City Council will continue to respond to thetrust placed in them by citizens, striving to be a council that iseven more open.務に関する審査を行う常任委員会、議を目指します。委員会の種類には、一般的な市の事託に応え、よりいっそう開かれた議会構成する委員会が組織されています。下妻市議会は、今後とも、市民の信るため、その部門ごとに特定の議員ででお知らせをしています。する本会議のほか、審議の専門化を図るほか、会議の内容は、「議会だより」す。また、議会には、議員全員で構成子は、市役所本庁舎内で生中継されに応じて招集される臨時会がありまことができます。さらに、本会議の様は、毎年４回招集される定例会と必要り、本会議は、直接議場で傍聴をするを議会20人と定めています。は、市長が招集し、その種類に議会の会議は、原則公開とされておています。れており、下妻市議会は、議員の定数行う議会だより運営委員会が設置され議員の定数は、条例によることとさとして「議会だより」の編集・発行をの権限をもっています。議会運営委員会のほか、任意の委員会執行機関の監視、議会の組織運営など文教厚生・経済建設の各常任委員会、市民から提出された請願・陳情の審査、会があります。下妻市議会では、総務・や予算などについて議決を行うほか、に関する事項を決定する議会運営委員員で構成される議事機関であり、条例る審査を行う特別委員会、議会の運営議会は、市民から直接選挙された議会の議決により付議された事件に関す市の意思を決定します市民の代表としてSHIMOTSUMA CITY●38
